Campbell and his family are Cabo regulars, having visited the town since his childhood. He knew that was the place to celebrate his union to Kieren.
One of the grooms is from England while the other is American and their origins was a theme throughout the day, from their cufflinks to the gorgeous fascinators worn by family and guests who traveled from England for the occasion.
The couple got ready together at the family's villa at Palmilla. A beautiful property overlooking the ocean where the groom's party was relaxing and preparing for the wedding. Their dog, Canace, a playful labradoodle was present for the occasion as well.
The couple chose similar outfits, white pants and navy blue jackets and striped shirts. Their outfits had different jackets and shoes. Cufflinks had both American and British flags.
Navy blues were the tones picked for the family's clothes as well. The mother of both grooms were especially elegant, Campbell's with a fabulous hat and Kieren's with a pink fascinator which worked beautifully with her light blue dress.
The couple had siblings and their closest friends form a gender mixed wedding party, a lady and a gentleman on each side. The ladies had hydrangeas bouquets in blue and green colors that went wonderfully with Flora Farms’ surroundings.
The wedding venue, Flora Farms, is an incredible farm to table restaurant on the outskirts of San Jose del Cabo. The farm’s ingredients, fresh and organic, are a staple of the place’s menu along with its cocktails. The property has a vast area for events, with a brick barn, orchards and wonderful landscape which includes an enormous tree. Guests arrived for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour while the reception set up for over 100 guests was kept under wraps, behind a decorated fence to keep it a surprise.
The ceremony decorations had a greenery arch at the end of a long aisle and simple wooden chairs with two hand painted signs at the end said “friends of the groom” on both sides. With such gorgeous grounds, the area, flanked by papaya trees on each side and the sierra at the end, needs little decorations.
The ceremony was emotional and lovely with references to the grooms relationship, readings by loved ones. A reminder of the struggles same-sex couples went through to have the right to say I dos left many teary eyes among the guests.
Better even than the final kiss was Canace's running through the aisle towards his dads to the delight of surprised guests.
Kieren is a highly accomplished rower and university coach, so for the introduction at the reception, the newlyweds walked through a guard of honor with rowing oars which were painted with the US and UK flags.
The reception setup was comprised of several family style tables in dark wood decorated with dark red, purple and white flowers, as well as fruits and vegetables making the center of the tables look like a still-life painting. Two different chair designs were used giving tables a different looks. Table numbers were hand painted in stained mirrors and placed next to centerpieces. Each place setting had the name of each guest handwritten in rustic paper and tagged with string around the fabric napkins and decorated with a sprig of rosemary. At night the tables came to life with candlelight and the large net of bistro lights overhead.
Adding to the wedding’s decorations the couple chose lounge furniture, white couches and ottomans for the outdoor gardens and benches and designer chair for the inside barn where the bar was located.
The couple brought the Miami based band, The Social, which rocked the night non stop with covers ranging from Abba to Snoop Dog, to powerful vocals of super talented group of 5 singers. In between the tables the dancefloor was placed in front of the stage where The Social was performing.
Dessert was brought out, cupcakes and chocolate torte were placed in cute displays for guests to grab the sweets from. The cake cutting had everyone gathered for photos of the happy couple and a little bite.

The couple wanted everything from their getting ready moments to the party photographed. They were especially excited about the party photos as they brought a fantastic band from Miami and knew all too well their wedding guests would love and dance the night away. Aside from the wedding day, the couple also had their welcome event covered the night before.
Some of the highlights of the day aside from the emotional ceremony and Canace’s grand entrance and the end were the two grooms getting ready together, which provided us with beautiful images found on the act of everyday things and a peace and complicity between the two grooms that felt perfectly lovely. The best, however, was the moment when the grooms saw their wedding being put together. As Flora Farms and Events by Bliss’ teams “bee” worked setting the tables and centerpieces, the band’s stage being in its final stages and a beautiful moment between grooms happens mid stride. A sign of tenderness found time and time again through the wedding day and night. Their first dance was emotional even from behind the camera.
