Cabo Azul June Wedding

Bride & Groom

Meggan writes and runs the fashion blog Somewhere Lately. Meeting and working with her was a walk in the park first because she is such a sweet and easygoing person, then because she knows just what she likes and it is easy to identify what that is, just check out her blog. Kyle is an executive who works with sports and likes golfing. The couple look like a perfect match and being a part of their wedding was simply put, fabulous.

Rehearsal Dinner at Flora Farms

We started their wedding celebration coverage with the rehearsal dinner at Flora Farms. The complete wedding party and family were invited for a dinner at this gorgeous property that is located on the outskirts of San Jose del Cabo and is all about handmade food using Flora's fresh and organically grown ingredients. The property is picturesque and a contrast to the beach scenery Los Cabos is known for, as it sits in a valley. The experience starts while driving down into the canyon on the dirt road, to find this gem, its spectacular landscapes and amazing food.

The setup was one gorgeous single long table in the portion of the property reserved for events. Every little detail evoked the farm feel of the establishment, sunflowers and greenery decorated the table and the local band provided the entertainment.

The Wedding Day

The wedding day arrived in perfect Cabo weather. Cabo Azul is a beautiful resort that faces the Sea of Cortez in San Jose del Cabo. Bride and bridesmaids were getting ready at a large villa, all dressed in matching robes, while Neysa Quintana and her team at Blanc Bridal Salon took care of the 9 bridesmaids as well as mothers of the bride and groom. Meggan had a lovely lace robe on and when I arrived she was on the last stages of getting her updo, a gorgeous knot bun. The Flower girls were the cutest! Nieces of the groom they only had smiles for the camera.
The bride chose an ethereal wedding gown by Ines di Santo, who never fails on her gorgeous modern designs. The bodice on Meggan’s dress was something from fairy tales, with so many details, opening up on a light flowy multi layered skirt. Although the bride is obsessed with shoes, she opted for a simple gold sandal with a small heel for comfort.

All bridesmaids were dressed in similar, but not identical, white dresses, while mother of bride and groom wore navy blue dresses. Groomsmen were spared the use of a complete suite wearing gray trousers with white shirts. The groom on the other hand, had the complete grey suit and bared the heat of the day looking great all the time.

Bouquets and flower designs were done by Pina Hernandez, a local master of florals. Her detailed wedding arch was out of this world. The bride was particularly happy with the results.

The Beach Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was officiated by Meggan’s grandpa and had readings done by two friends. Having people close to the couple be a part of the ceremony made it that much more personal. The cutest moment was when Camden, the bride and groom’s toddler came walking to them to say hi.

Cocktail hour and Reception at Javier’s

A complete mariachi band played during cocktail hour which happened in a shaded area by the beach. Reception was kicked off by the couple’s first dance. All the guests stood around the couple while Kilometro band played live.

The guest table was beautifully decorated with flowers and photos of their families weddings. Simple yet cute place cards told guests where to sit. A mix of round tables and a long table that served as a head table made the reception area dynamic and space efficient. The pastel color palette was on the flowers and votives, gave it all an elegant, fresh feel.

Emotional and funny speeches ensued while guests were served delicious dishes from Javier’s, Cabo Azul’s main dining spot. Desserts were set up over the guest table, now transformed into the cake table. Every little detail had been clearly thought through and looked absolutely stunning.  Kilometro band rocked, guests had the dance floor constantly packed, obviously a great time.
All in all a great wedding, picture perfect!
